Purpose is essential to the health of the church. Lewis Carroll stated the obvious. He said, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
Doug Moolenhauer said, “Without purpose and vision your company is going nowhere.” He instructs his students in the Executive Education program at UBC’s Sauder School of Business that purpose powers everything.
Purpose is the “why” that gives a business direction. In her book, “Brave: 50 Everyday Acts of Courage to Thrive in Work, Love and Life,” Margie Warrell, writes: “Knowing your why is an important first step in figuring out how to achieve the goals that excite you and create a life you enjoy living (versus merely surviving!).”
