The line between patriotism and Christianity sometimes become blurred. In our zealous pride for our country do we at times forget to check our Bibles to see if our country is on the right course? Is military action for our country always the Biblical correct course to take? What should determine whether we take military action? A violation of human rights? An attack against our country? An endeavor to police the third world country conflicts? The price of oil on the market? Economic pressures internationally? The balance of power among the leading nations of the world? What does the Bible say about these matters?

In this lesson we will be looking at the threat of the U.S.A. to intervene in the Syrian Civil War because of alleged reports of chemical weapons being used in the conflict. Looking at the news through a Biblical filter we will hope to gain a better perspective regarding the Christian’s response to this situation.
