Pride Protection

After spending a night in a den with lions, Daniel was able to triumphantly tell the King that rather than being his executioners, the lions had been his protectors.  “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.”  (Daniel 6:22)  This lesson is going to give us the opportunity to look at a number of Biblical miracles and current day miracles as we bolster our faith in a God who intervenes for those He loves.

In a similar manner God used a pride of lions to protect Pastor Paul Ciniraj, a convert from Islam who is the director of  “Bibles to the Mideast.”   He works underground because of the ministry’s outreach into Muslim-dominant communities.  This past Easter Sunday they were celebrating their risen Lord when they were attacked by ISIS terrorists.  It looked like they were going to be martyrs for their faith but God had other plans.  Lions bounded from the nearby forest and leapt on the Jihadists who fled in terror.  The Christians were left unharmed as the lions returned to their home.
